In short: LimitFoodWaste does not collect, store, or share any personal data with us or any third party. All your food inventory data stays on your devices and in your private iCloud account.
Your food items, storage locations, and related data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your data is automatically synced across your devices through Apple's CloudKit service.
When you scan a product barcode, the app sends the barcode number to the Open Food Facts API to look up product information (name, brand, category, weight).
The app uses your device's camera to scan QR codes and barcodes. Camera access requires your explicit permission.
The app can connect to a Phomemo label printer via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to print food labels.
LimitFoodWaste can send local notifications to remind you about food items nearing their expiration date.
LimitFoodWaste does not include any analytics, tracking, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs. We do not collect usage data of any kind.

LimitFoodWaste does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not require account creation or collect any personal data.
If we update this privacy policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
